Eibsee Pavillon in Grainau

Very nice beer garden or rather terrace, with hearty snacks and good beer. Everything right on the lake and at the foot of the Zugspitze, to enjoy the time and to switch off from everyday life. Perfect and fast service, the beer never runs out, just invites you to linger.

The food was very expensive and not tasty, I hardly eat half of the portion ( fatty and not worth the money) The waiter was arrogant and the table was dirty, even if they’re supposed to disinfect it during COVID

Great restaurant with a location right on the Eibsee. The food was great and we didn't have to wait long for it. The waiter was also very friendly - we would come back anytime!

This place has a nice view, quite crowded and comfortable price. But, the foods is not so good. Look at my meal, curry turkeys with rice and mango, but rice was so hard and curry was not enough flavor for me.

A pet friendly restaurant 😍😍!!! I got very impressed ! Many other restaurants should learn from this one 💁🏻‍♂️, what you need more after nice walk around the lake, get some food with your family/friends and your other family members 🐾 ! Also with the beautiful view !

Good vegitarian options

Food and drinks were excellent, after ordering everything was there quickly. Fair prices for a wonderful view right on the water and at the foot of the Zugspitze. My waiter was a little inattentive, empty glasses stood on the table for a long time, no one asked if I wanted something new. I had to ask him to come to me every time, hence a star deduction

Good food and friendly service. The dishes arrived at the table quickly and were nicely presented. Criticism: the side salad cost € 6.40 in the end, which is quite high in comparison.

One star is still too many! We arrived there at the weekend, everything perfectly clear in the fine weather. Service so unfriendly and blaspheme about the guests. Just amazing. We ordered two rolls with Leberkäse, all of which were thrown individually on the plate, rolls, Leberkäse that already looked greenish and mustard all individually. Luckily we didn't eat it, otherwise you could have got something. That the shop is still there, a mystery. Never again ....

Very busy in good weather. The view of the lake is blocked by many parasols. The waitress was very stressed and was therefore understandably not particularly friendly. There is no beer in the Maß! The price is fair here.

We were in the beer garden of the lake restaurant at the weekend. We were there at 11:45 am, the beer garden is officially open from 12 noon. Since the fish on the sticks had already sizzled on the fire and the shutters were already up at the sales stand and staff were ready, we thought we'd get something to drink 10 minutes beforehand. We went there and were about to ask if we were getting anything when the shutters were completely closed again and someone wanted to tell us that it was a technical defect. hahahaha, seldom laughed like that. They just didn't feel like starting a few minutes earlier. then preferred to accept long queues. We only had a drink, so I can't judge the quality of the food. The location on the lake is of course beautiful and there is nothing else, just the restaurant with service next to it.

NO CORONA OR HEALTH PRECAUTIONS!!!Staff at the self service point served sausages with his hands!! Also was this staff very very unfriendly. Food is standart, nothing special. They know they are the only place, so there is no need to improve

We had a kind service but the food was terrible. One of the not so good burger I had in 2020. Too much bread, too much cheese, too much tomato, cold tomato paste and I guess a patty that used to be frozen. I can recommend the view though :)

No coronavirus precautions. Self-service without any desinfection of the tables or limitations of the number of the guests. Staff didn't always wear the masks.

You sit right on the Eibsee, there is a self-service and a service part. We were in the self-service part. It was very crowded - the waiting time was minimal. Everything is very well organized there. There is simple cuisine, bratwurst, schnitzel with french fries or potato salad, etc. Everything at moderate prices. Of course, it's not really cozy. The toilets were super clean.

Beautifully located on the lake, from the terrace you can look over the Eibsee and the Zugspitze. The staff was friendly, we got a seat straight away even though it was very busy. Fresh wheat beer on tap, a blessing at high temperatures. The prices are really fair for the 1A + location. I can't judge the food, but it looked very good.

1 star is 5 too many. Mass processing and outrageous service. With all due respect, the guest is not valued here. As a result of Corona, you are understandably longer in line, of course I understand that. If you then kindly ask for a table on the terrace, you will be asked inside, although outside tables only have to be cleared. Ok, that takes time, disinfection as well, absolute understanding. But why do you let the guests in at all if it's not yet clean ?! And then one waiter assigns a table, then another waitress yells at you viciously and outrageously that you cannot sit there because she still has to clean up. And now she has no time. Oh yes?! But Madame has time to sort napkins without motivation ?! The hint that another restaurant will earn the money is then given by a third waiter with a derogatory "Then go and get out of here!" appreciated. Here the guest is a number, doesn't count, you don't try in any way. Hopefully the 2nd lockdown will come and you will go broke. Such a restaurant and waitresses with such behavior are not a figurehead for the region.

Due to its great location, we had to wait a bit to get seated. The food was delicious but it was a bit chaotic when it came to serving our food.

Very crowded at the moment even with corona. None was told to wear a mask in line. Food is a bit overpriced but its in a nice location.

You would expect a very expensive menu for this kind of location but that was definitely not the case. The food was excellent, a very nice selection of typical Bavarian food for very fair prices. The Biergarten with the view of the lake was just gorgeous and , even as full as it was, we were treated promptly and politely and the toilets were very clean!

Long waiting times for a seat as the only alternative at the lake. But therefor fair prices. Order comes very quickly. Meals cannot be changed / canceled 1 minute after ordering! Our special place certainly had a big minus: bar stools at the window with unfortunately already perished flies as a view :(

For the first time in Eibsee and for the first time in a beer garden. I was very, very enthusiastic about the atmosphere. Very, very nice time spent there. Staff was very nice! Nice beer garden, delicious beer and delicious food again and again. Absolute 5 *

Service awful. The waiter pretended he had not any change so to "force" the tip..we needed to insist. It's always a pleasure to leave deserved tips but when theytry to fool me i just go mad.

We spent a long weekend at the lake with our family and were happy with the service in every way. We ate in the beer garden despite the negative comments. The chefs were kind and friendly, despite the fact that people didn’t deal with Covid virus measures for essentially a single minute. The restaurant is the best choice for a delicious dinner. But I can only recommend eating and drinking in the beer garden during the day.

Avoid this place if you can. Got treated like garbage whilst even trying to speak German. Asked for a bratwurst and got told off for not picking what sides I wanted quick enough and when I asked for sauce he told me he only has two hands. No excuse for this behaviour.

Great location right on the Eibsee with tasty dishes but sporty prices! The Kaiserschmarn was super delicious, as was the Weisswurst. But: 2 white sausages with 1 pretzel for just under 8 euros? That is more expensive than in Munich on the Viktualienmarkt .... Except for the prices, the service was good! :-)

Great to sit outside. Awesome view on the terrace. Service, prices and food good. Corona time, however, may be different when operating at full capacity.
